Scope and date
Effective October 26, 2026. This notice covers Openi’s Useful Toolbox, the public YouTube Journal extension and its separate notes web app.
Journal records
The desktop extension stores selected video details, summaries, transcripts, reflections and observed comments in browser extension storage. The notes web app uses IndexedDB. These are local to the device and browser; no login-based synchronization or central notes server is provided. Historical comment activity is not imported.
Picture, video, PDF and audio tools
Selected files, names, pixels, extracted document text, audio and results are processed locally in the current tab or its workers. They are not uploaded to the operator. Programs, models and standard font/mapping files are downloaded from this site. Originals are preserved and new files are exported. Work is not saved automatically.
Office to PDF
DOCX, XLSX and PPTX are converted in a dedicated local worker. Referenced external document resources are blocked. Two Korean font files, about 12MB total, are downloaded from this site and may be reused from the browser cache. Fonts and complex layout can differ from the original. No Office document is uploaded.
Folder access and screen sharing
Folder saving writes to a folder you explicitly choose. The audio tool creates a new subfolder; it does not store the folder connection in a server database. Screen recording only starts after you choose a screen, window or tab. It records without sound; GIF cropping is applied afterward. Stopping, cancelling or leaving ends capture.
Hosting and external services
Cloudflare delivers the site and may process normal access information such as IP address, URL and time. Local processing does not mean that opening the website makes no network requests. YouTube summary requests from the extension use the user’s YouTube session; no separate AI API receives your notes. Cloudflare privacy · Google privacy.
Text-size preference
Your selected 100%, 150% or 200% text size is stored in localStorage in this browser so it can be reused on other pages. It is not connected to files or an account. Clearing site data resets it.
Ads and analytics
The tools site currently loads no advertising scripts, visitor analytics or external fonts. Ownership-verification metadata and ads.txt are present but do not activate advertisements or tracking. Future changes to advertising and related data handling will be described before activation. The private notes app remains separate.
Deletion and backups
Closing or refreshing a tool tab discards unsaved work. Clearing browser data or removing the extension can delete local notes. The operator cannot recover them. Keep JSON backups and Word exports. Downloaded backups can contain private reflections and comments.
Email and changes
Messages voluntarily sent to yohanara@naver.com are used for replies and investigation. Request deletion using the same address. Material processing changes will be described here and in the updates page.
